Overview of Our Refund & Returns Policy

At Hardware For You, we want you to shop with confidence. That’s why we offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery, in line with UK Consumer Law. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer a full refund or exchange.

What Items Are Eligible for Return?

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.


Items You Can’t Return

Certain goods are excluded from our return policy due to hygiene or safety reasons, or legal restrictions:

  • Perishable items (e.g. food, plants, flowers)
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable digital products
  • Health and personal care items
  • Hazardous materials or flammable liquids/gases
  • Intimate or sanitary goods

Partial Refunds May Be Issued (at our discretion)

  • Books with clear signs of use
  • Opened media (CDs, DVDs, software, vinyl, etc.)
  • Items not in original condition or with missing parts not due to our error
  • Returns requested after 30 days of delivery

Sale Items & Exchanges Policy

Sale Items

Only full-priced items are eligible for refund. Discounted or sale items are non-refundable unless faulty.


Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item, contact us at accounts@hardwareforyou.com.


Gifts

  • If the item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive store credit for the return.
  • If not marked as a gift, or the gift was sent to the purchaser first, the refund will go to the original buyer.

Return Shipping Instructions & Contact Info

You are responsible for return postage. We advise using a tracked delivery service or shipping insurance, especially for high-value items.

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.
  • If a refund is approved, return shipping costs (if applicable) will be deducted from your total refund.
